We choose to sell KONA bike stuff because it rocks! The KONA company is owned and operated by real cyclists and their designs and attitude show it. We have been approached to represent lines from Specialized, Trek, Haro, Cannondale, Santa Cruz and many more. While those are all great bike brands we feel KONA really shines due to their committment to the core rider and to designs that are functional and durable.

When you purchase a KONA complete bike or frame from us we take your torso, arm and inseam measurements and flexibility measurement just as if we were measuring you for one of our custom frames then we match the best fitting frame size from KONA that is offered in the model you are purchasing. A typical sales session would focus on the finding your needs by asking you questions like,

1. "What is your intended riding style? For instance, will you use your new bike for DH, Out of bounds, Backcountry epics, XC racing, general moutain biking, road biking, etc ?"

2. "what is the budget you have to spend and does that include the clothing and accessories you will need ?"

This ensures that you get the best bike for your money and needs. And a frame (the most important component on any bike) with the right effective top tube length, standover clearance, etc. Since comfort on any bike at any price point is achieved thru a proper fit and setup and not just a big cushy saddle and a funky ass lookin upright stem. A new program that we have just started for women who make their bike purchase with Alpine Designs is called First Ride . When a woman purchases a new KONA bike from us we automatically sign her up for a riding instruction session with our long time ambassador of good bike vibes Liz Parnow.
